The Hermitage School Eco Committee consists of 24 children from across all classes who have a passion to see the school become a greener and more eco-aware environment. Following the success of our recent fund raising project, the Eco Committee have begun a gardening project in order to look at sustainability as well as improving the school grounds. They have created a garden area which is growing herbs and vegetables and this project will continue to flourish as the school becomes more eco-aware.
The children are the driving force behind the projects and are constantly thinking up new ways in which to improve the school, from reporting leaky taps to doing a litter pick. As such it is their ideas which help decide the school's direction. Why not ask them about some of the projects they are working on at the moment?
