The team were competing in the Greenfield Cup tournament. This is Coach Jones' report:

In a very tough group we started the tournament with 2 wins, 3-1 against Greenfield and 5-1 against St Dunstan's. We only needed a point in our last game to top the group, and we did with a 1-1 against New Haw.

In the Semi Final we played Ripley Court and won convincingly 2-0. In the Final we came up against St Andrews. We went 1-0 up and agonisingly, with what seemed to be the last kick of the game St Andrews equalised. With seconds left we took a quick centre and managed to win a free kick. With what was the last kick of the game, an audacious free kick over the wall and goalkeeper gave Hermitage a 2-1 victory!
