Visions, Values and Aims
Our Vision, Values and Aims
Inspiring everyone to learn.
At our school we take pride in celebrating that we are all learners and that every child has the potential to achieve.
The Hermitage is an inspiring community that will be recognised as the school where every individual progresses and achieves in a stimulating, happy and safe environment.
We have the highest expectations of ourselves, our school and of others and are dedicated to ensuring every child feels valued and their achievements are celebrated. We aim to make all learning opportunities engaging.
We aim for our children to:
- Learn through a creative and exciting curriculum
- Enjoy learning through opportunity
- Achieve progress and to celebrate success
- Respect and support one another in our community
- Nurture and include everyone in a safe and happy environment
The values we live by affect how we relate to other people and influence our actions and attitudes, and become our framework for living. At The Hermitage we have carefully selected key values which we feel will impact on behaviour, relationships, personal wellbeing and attitudes to learning and learning diligence in order to support the development of the whole child and academic attainment.
Our values are Tolerance, Freedom, Responsibility, Resilience, Friendship, and Courage.
Our children will…
Be determined, motivated and resilient
Be thinkers, empowered and independent
Be caring, respectful and tolerant
Be proud of who they are
