They won their first two matches 1-0 against Horsell and St Dunstans, and worked extremely hard to earn a draw against eventual group winners Goldsworth. With Goldsworth and us top of the table going into our last match, it was all to play for and, with Goldsworth playing first and scoring a couple in their last game, Hermitage needed a lot of goals to go through top. Unfortunately, the boys had to play more attacking football, which left us open at the back and we ended up losing 2-1 to New Haw. We finished 2nd in the group, which is a fantastic achievement given the fact the boys had been playing against children a year up.
